Dementia Friendly Washoe County
The Ballroom of Reno is honored to host Dance With Me, a program specially designed to aid in mental, physical, and emotional health of the elders in our community who face depression and isolation as they age. We celebrate the years, and the moments, that make each person so special, no matter their age.
We also host Two Left Feet, our annual dance camp fundraiser, that benefits Dementia Friendly Washoe County and The Longest Day Alzheimer's Association.
Dance with Me, a collaboration between the Ballroom of Reno and Dementia Friendly Washoe County, was featured on Aging and Awesome.
Nevada Arts Council
Free dance classes at the Ballroom of Reno are supported, in part, by the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and the state of Nevada.
