Monthly Dances & Group Classes

The Ballroom of Reno offers group classes and dances in different dance styles. It’s a great way to learn to dance and meet some new people.

Free beginner group classes are offered every week and are highlighted in blue on the monthly calendar.

Free dance classes at the Ballroom of Reno are supported, in part, by the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and the state of Nevada.

Free Group Classes Every Week

These classes are set at beginner level, so they are a great place to start if you are trying dancing for the first time. You do not need to sign in ahead of time- just check the class calendar for the blue-shaded classes and come on by! (come early to sign in and get parking)

If you like helping others and feel in your heart to support The Ballroom of Reno’s free group classes with a donation, you can donate in the lobby when you sign in or anytime you come to your ballroom studio. Your generosity allows someone else to dance when there is a possibility they could not easily afford it.

  • West Coast Swing

    It’s time to find your groove and bust a move with real West Coast Swing. The Beginner, Beyond Basics, and Intermediate/Advanced classes will have you leading and following in no time! Watch the calendar for West Coast Swing dance parties too.

  • Salsa

    Come spice up your night learning Salsa on 1 with authentic music, fun footwork, and Latin styling. This a fun experience and great for beginners.

    Get your sexy on in Bachata. This is a great dance for couples, and makes a great date night! Sultry music and clear instructions will help you connect with your dance partner and up your dance level!

  • Ballroom

    Join us for beginner through intermediate/advanced ballroom dance classes. Different ballroom dances are taught throughout the month several nights a week offering different levels. Also, a practice party happens on the first Saturday of every month.

  • Arizona 2-Step

    Please join us for a dance new to Reno! The Arizona 2-Step is a fun, easy-to-learn dance that can be danced to country two-step and Swing music.
